The Sunshine Coast Table Tennis Club started in 1975 with a few people and self-made tables. From these humble beginnings the club grew, incorporated and in 2003 moved to Nambour High School. Over the years we have been based at various venues including Nambour SHS, Burnside SHS, Sunshine Coast University Stadium, Meridan State College Sports Stadium, and, at the start of 2018, we have just made another move to the Maroochydore SHS Sports Stadium (Jubilee Hall). At Maroochydore SHS we have plans to progressively upgrade the lighting and we have the opportunity to offer table tennis on additional days to our present Tuesday night fixtures and Thursday night practice. Table Tennis is a fun individual and team sport, for all ages and abilities. We generally play 3 or 4 fixture seasons per year, mainly with teams of 3, and sometimes 2 or 4 players. Fixtures generally include 3 singles matches and 1 or 2 doubles matches per night, plus additional warmup and practice.
