I haven't played table tennis for a long time as I was busy with the demands of my two teen age boys plus the wife of course. I wouldn't say that I am a beginner, probably in the intermediate spectrum. I started playing using the pen hold grip and that is what I am accustomed to use now. I am in my 50s so I am a bit gentle with my movement so that I do not end up sitting on the bench and just to be a spectator :-)
